The Yakima Police Department is participating in “No Shave November”. In support of family, friends and community members dealing with cancer, employees that choose to participate, have donated $50.00, in lieu of buying shaving supplies and will then be allowed to grow their facial hair for the month. The current YPD policy only allows officers to grow sideburns and mustaches. This national event recognizes that those with cancer often lose their hair during treatment, so we will grow ours in their place. The money raised will be donated to Children’s Wishes and Dreams.
