The mission of the Volunteers in Police Service Program is to develop a spirit of cooperation and partnership within the community to enhance the Yakima Police Department’s ability to serve the city of Yakima. Volunteers assist YPD officers in several areas that do not require a law enforcement commission. If you or anyone you know would like to volunteer, have them contact any of the above numbers.
