Yakima Host the NAMOA Annual Conference for the First Time

The Yakima Police Department hosted the 2017 North American Motor Officers Annual Conference for the first time ever and the event was deemed a huge success. 110 motor officers from Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Canada took part in the conference, which is designed to provide training for motor officers and gives them a chance to improve their ride skills and compete against other motor officers. The training conference also provided an opportunity for citizens to watch and interact with police officers from all over the Northwest and beyond. The skills and training competition was held at State Fair Park the third week of May with the competition taking place on Friday May 20th. The motor officers posed for pictures at the famed 17th hole at the Apple Tree Golf Course in Yakima.
