Victim in Shooting By Mini-Mart Now Being Treated at Harborview

A man who was shot on Saturday evening near a mini-mart on Fair Avenue was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Sunday for treatment.  The victim, whose name is not being released pending confirmation that his family has been notified of his condition, is reported to be stable but still undergoing treatment for significant injuries he sustained.

Yakima police responded to a call of shots fired near Ali’s One Stop mini-mart located at 801 South Fair Avenue just before 9:00 pm on Saturday, January 12th.  When officers arrived on scene, they found a man who had been shot several times.  The victim was taken to a local hospital for initial treatment.  On Sunday, he was moved to Harborview.

Yakima police continue to investigate the incident.  No arrests have been made at this time.
