Two Injured in South 10th Avenue Shooting

At 4:35 pm yesterday, Thursday, October 31st, Yakima Police Department (YPD) officers responded to a shots fired call in the area of 200 South 10th Avenue.

The victims are identified as Ruben Marin, 18, who was shot in the torso, and Jeremiah Ledesma-Morales, 21, who was shot in the hip. Both men were transported to area hospitals and remain hospitalized at this time.

A witness led officers to a handgun hidden in the alley. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) arrived and assisted with the scene.
