Three Injured in Shooting in Fred Meyer Parking Lot

At about 1:30 am Saturday, November 16th, Yakima Police Department (YPD) officers responded to 9-1-1 calls reporting multiple shots fired in the area of the Fred Meyer parking lot on 40th Avenue near Fruitvale Boulevard.

Officers arrived to find three men suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the victims has been identified as 29-year-old Timothy Sutton, who was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.  His wounds were not considered life threatening.  A second victim, 17-year-old Bradley Daumpier, was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital.  Daumpier underwent surgery.  His current medical condition is unknown.  The third victim, 22-year-old Michael Thompson, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.  His current medical condition is considered serious.

Police believe the incident stemmed from a disagreement between the victims and other unidentified people.

No arrests have been made at this time pending further investigation by police.
