On August 15th and 16th, 21 members of the Yakima Police Department SWAT team, along with Yakima Police Department Patrol Officer Einar Agledal and Department of Corrections Officer Brent Martin climbed Mt. Adams. The two-day hike was for training and to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the YPD SWAT team. All SWAT team members made it to the summit of Mt. Adams successfully. Some of the members said it was the most grueling journey of their lifetime.
