Yakima Police Community Services will receive a donation tomorrow, Wednesday, for its upcoming “A Day of Thanks” event.
The Shopko Foundation will present a $500 check to Yakima Police Community Services at 1:00 pm tomorrow, Wednesday, November 14th at Shopko, 5801 Summitview Avenue.
Proceeds from tomorrow’s check presentation at Shopko will be designated for the “Day of Thanks” event planned for Wednesday, November 21st.
“We will be enjoying a day of fun with youth who were nominated by their school administrators,” said Lt. Mike Pollard, Public Information Officer for the Yakima Police Department. “We appreciate the Shopko Foundation’s participation in helping to make the ‘Day of Thanks’ event possible.”
The Shopko Foundation’s Community Charitable Grant Program was established to support charitable non-profit organizations through limited funding of local programs in their Shopko communities.
