At 9:28 pm on Monday, December 30th, the Yakima Police Department (YPD) responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 700 block of Queen Avenue. Prior to arriving at the scene, officers learned the victim, a 16-year-old male, was being transported by private vehicle to a local hospital for treatment.
The victim suffered a single gunshot wound to his right leg. The victim was treated at the hospital and released.
The incident is believed to be gang related. There is no suspect information at this time.
