Police Searching for Suspects in Cannabis Store Armed Robbery

Yakima police are searching for five people suspected of having committed an armed robbery Sunday night at The Slow Burn cannabis store located at 1300 North 40th Avenue.

Police responded to reports of shots fired and a robbery in progress at the store at about

9:40 pm Sunday.  When police arrived, the suspects had already fled.  A K-9 track was conducted, but no suspects were located.

Surveillance video recovered by police shows five masked people entering the store.  Two of the suspects clearly were carrying firearms.  Shortly after entering the store, one of the masked suspects shot at an ATM inside the store.  Police later found bullet holes in the windows of a neighboring business that was closed at the time of the armed robbery.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and products from the store.   

No suspect(s) in the armed robbery have been identified yet.  Yakima police continue to investigate the incident.
