Police Investigating Quick E Mart Armed Robbery

The Yakima Police Department (YPD) is investigating an armed robbery at a mini-mart located at 616 South 3rd Street that occurred at about 9:00 pm on Tuesday night.

Witnesses reported that a man wearing a black ski mask, black sweatshirt, and jeans entered the Quick E Mart just before 9:00 pm Tuesday, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.  The suspect, who was described as a Latino man in his 20s or 30s, fled the mini-mart with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A YPD K-9 search resulted in the recovery of potential evidence connected to the armed robbery.  The suspect, however, was not located.
