Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Fruitvale Bakery

The Yakima Police Department (YPD) is investigating an armed robbery at a bakery located at 1705 Fruitvale Boulevard that occurred at about 2:00 pm on Tuesday.

Witnesses reported that a man wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt (with a gray stripe along the front of the hood) and blue jeans entered the bakery, Panadería Delicias, at around 2:00 pm Tuesday, displayed a knife, and demanded money.  The suspect, who was described as a Latino man in his 20s and about 5’8″ tall, fled the mini-mart with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police searched the area near the mini-mart but were unable to locate the suspect.
