One Person Dead and Two Others Injured After Fight at Race Street Party

A 22-year-old man died after being shot in the chest during a party at a house in the 600 block of East Race Street early Sunday morning.  A 28-year-old man received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his pelvic area during the fight and a 27-year-old woman who was hit in the head during the fight was treated at a local hospital and released.

Yakima Police Department (“YPD”) officers responded to a report of gunshots at a large party at the Race Street house at about 1:30 am Sunday.  YPD officers discovered the 22-year-old gunshot victim and immediately began performing CPR.  The man was taken to a local hospital and was declared dead shortly after arriving.

Police are looking for Latino man in his 20s in connection with the incident.  No suspects are currently in custody.
