Man Who Was Shot Dies After Being Transported to Hospital

At about 10:20 pm on Tuesday, Yakima police responded to a report of a gunshot victim at the Yakima Inn (1022 N. 1st Street).  After arriving on the scene, officers found 43-year-old Richard Plumlee, who had received a gunshot wound to his torso. 

After receiving initial treatment from officers on scene, Plumlee was transported to a local hospital.  He was pronounced dead at the hospital at about 10:55 pm.

No arrests have been made at this time pending further investigation by police.
