5/27/18 News Release on Homicide
On 05-26-18 at approximately 2042 hrs, 9-1-1 received a report of a gunshot victim who was being transported by a private vehicle on Fair Avenue. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot in the 10 block of North Fair Avenue. Police made contact with a 29 year old Hispanic male who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to his lower back. An ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment where he later died. The Yakima Police Department is currently investigating.
